Another Photo shoot!!

Well, once you have started something, it's hard to stop. This is Sophie's 2-year photos and I think that these shoots will be the death of Josh for sure!! He doesn't really take pictures anymore and he is super busy. So it's like pulling teeth, and your favorite teeth at that, for him to take pictures. But I hope that this is something that we will keep doing :) Who knows, he may hand over the reigns to me, but then you are left with Kiddie Kandid style pics LOL What to do?!?! Hope you enjoy :)

2nd Birthday

Well, I know I'm a few weeks behind, but I thought better late than never right?!?! Sophie just turned 2 on May 7th and the terrible 2's are really not that bad. I mean all the temper tantums, public displays of bossiness, not wanting to do a thing that mommy suggests and the face that Sophie says "mine" to everything is really not all that bad... LOL J/K Sophie is her same old sassy self and I am grateful for the fight she has in her. She has a very strong spirit and will and if I could just direct that in a postive way..... well then, everything will turn out okay... Does anyone have any vallum??

Sophie's uncle Eric was in town and came to the party!!

Disneyland!!

Well, we survived Disneyland!! I thought it was going to be much worse than it was and had planned for just about every single scenario.... But all went well. We ended up going through the park looking like a train: I was pushing Josh in his wheelchair and Josh was pushing Sophie in the stroller, needless to say we parted the crowds pretty easily :) LOL Sophie had a good time, but freaked out when she saw a life size Tinkerbell versus the 2 inch tall one she is used to, but I guess that is pretty normal for kids.

Nothing much...

Well, I know I promised more posts, but I am hopelessly addicted to Facebook :( I know, I know everyone said I would be once I started and it's sooo true LOL :) Couple that with nothing much to report other than posting more pictures of Sophie and a medical test for Josh, the blog doesn't get updated much lately...
Josh had to get an MRI on his head a few weeks ago, and everything came back good. So, we will keep you all posted on those happenings.
Wish you all a very Happy Easter/Palm Sunday holiday!!! XOXO
So here are pictures from our trip to Phoenix, my sisters wedding with Sophie actually frowning for the picture... I laughed so hard!!

Hope

My thoughts have been consumed lately about life and how grateful I am for my little girl. I loved President's Uchtdorf's message in the last conference (Paul I stole your quote) : "“Despair drains from us all that is vibrant and joyful and leaves behind the empty remnants of what life was meant to be. Despair kills ambition, advances sickness, pollutes the soul, and deadens the heart. Despair can seem like a staircase that leads only and forever downward. Hope, on the other hand, is like the beam of sunlight rising up and above the horizon of our present circumstances. It pierces the darkness with a brilliant dawn… Hope has the power to fill our lives with happiness. Its absence—when this desire of our heart is delayed—can make ‘the heart sick.’” (President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Member of the LDS Church First Presidency).
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful supportive family that when I wake up each day, I am excited to be here with them!! Love you Josh and Sophie!!!!!

Puzzles and Pianos

Sophia doing puzzles. This is the first time she has seen these puzzles. Sophia also loves the piano. She will get her own music out and open it up and start hitting keys while looking at the music. Obviously she has no idea what she is playing but it sure looks like she enjoys it.
